By joining our team here at Zircon, you will become a part of a community with people from all walks of life and a diverse mix of professional backgrounds. Having these differences in experience helps us to develop creative and innovative solutions for our clients.
Despite these differences, we are all united by our appreciation of food. We are a team of qualified people with knowledgeable insights and big appetites – as proved by the existence of Burger Thursday, Pizza Friday, Ad hoc BBQ’s and the regular flow of snacks throughout the office.
Day to Day Life
A day in the life at Zircon is hard to describe – every day brings new challenges and memorable moments. Whilst we are still growing and developing with each passing year, we actively encourage our staff to maintain a healthy work/life balance and pride ourselves on our open and comfortable working environment.
Our transition to a more open office space has really helped to build a warm and welcoming feeling, and our communal kitchen always provides the opportunity for conversation between engineers whilst they wait for the trusty kettle to boil.
We strongly believe in personal development, not just career development, which is why we offer our staff the chance to work on projects that will push them to learn new techniques and skills. The office has a professional, yet relaxed atmosphere. Daily stand up meetings take place to ensure ongoing project progress, and we organise several social events throughout the year.
We hold quarterly training days to promote the sharing of knowledge and ongoing personal development. No matter the level of experience, there is always the opportunity to learn and grow.
As we say time and time again, it is the hard work put in by our staff that allows us to provide our clients with solutions to their problems. In return, we reward this effort with a number of benefits.
