Life as a Graduate Starter

Hi, my name’s Alan and I’m a recent graduate from the University of the West of England where I studied Computing. My previous job experience includes Web Design, Quality Assurance and Java Programming.

I was very enthusiastic when I first joined Zircon as it would give me the chance to apply skills learnt at University into real projects. Zircon Software have a reputation of taking care of their employees and this is shown as they are recognised as an “Investor of People”.

One of the first things you notice about Zircon Software is the atmosphere. A friendly atmosphere that is also professional, but relaxed. Helpful and knowledgeable colleagues helped me settle into the job. Out of work activities such as football and the recent Annual General Meeting helped me get to know my colleagues, make friends and learn more about the company.

The projects at Zircon are challenging, require learning, open mindedness and creativity. I have been involved in many stages of the project lifecycle since I joined the company. As a result, a great deal of flexibility and experience are required.
