Pride in our Work
We have systematically developed a team of highly qualified and experienced consultants and engineers, with an enviable reputation for delivering quality services at all levels.
All our people combine excellent academic qualifications with practical ‘real world’ experience. They also have a ‘systems approach’ to problem solving, the ability to think laterally and creatively in identifying the best solutions for our clients, and the ability to convey these in a clear and concise manner.
We recognise that the quality of our solutions and services stems directly from the capabilities of our people. We therefore make great efforts to help every individual on the team reach their full potential. Zircon has been awarded Investors in People (IIP) accreditation. We are also totally committed to the process of continuous learning for the purposes of personal development. This is a cornerstone of our strategy for achieving and maintaining the highest standards of integrity and quality.
Brian is Zircon’s Managing Director and he is closely involved across the board of Zircon’s activities. From setting the company’s strategy for growth, to sorting the detail of a new contract, he is dedicated to the good of Zircon and our customers. Brian is a well-known figure around Zircon’s industry sectors.
“The most important thing any company can do is to provide an excellent service to its customers. The talented team of managers and engineers at Zircon strive to deliver customer satisfaction and more”.
Phil is Business Development Manager and is responsible for all sales, marketing and business development activities at Zircon.
“My aim is to spread the Zircon message that we are an agile, reliable company that puts the interest of our clients at the forefront of our efforts.”
As Zircon’s Operations Director, Richard is responsible for managing the engineering and infrastructure of the company. He has an excellent track record in the management of projects, including several high profile traffic management/information and rail control system projects.
“I am dedicated to the delivery of projects to our customers, often acting as the ‘Project Director'; the customer’s representative on-site, to ensure what is delivered, is what is required, to budget and on time.”
From the Blog
Companies, like people, have their comfort zone. For people the comfort zone is defined by environment, activities, companions etc. For companies it really revolves around projects; the type of work, the size of contract, the relationship with the customer.
As a small company the projects that represent Zircon’s comfort zone are typically 2 to 4 engineers developing software for a rail or road application for a big player in that arena for 6 to 9 months. However, we are, as you know, Agile and Reliable so when one such customer asked us to field a team of eight for three months we thought that we had to step up to the challenge!
