Graduate Software Engineer

Zircon Software is a specialist software house operating primarily in the rail, road and defence sectors. We develop bespoke applications of various types from Web based information systems to desktop tools to embedded real time control systems. Our work is engineering based, as opposed to business/office IT systems, multi-media or website design, with an emphasis on Quality, particularly as many applications are safety related. We work mainly in C++ and C# on various Windows platforms, along with the latest Internet technologies, but other languages are employed as appropriate .We are a BSI registered firm, and hold BS EN ISO 9001 and Investor In People certifications.

The company is organised on a project basis with teams growing and shrinking as the project progresses. This means that work and roles are varied. Employees are encouraged to take responsibility at the earliest opportunity.

We are looking for numerate graduates with up to two years experience. You must be able to work alone or in a team, be a good communicator and have an enthusiasm to be involved in engineering systems. You will be involved in developing software so we will be looking for experience of this both before and following graduation.
