Zircon has undertaken the development of a Hardware Interface Manager Application for use in our clients Linux based Traffic Controller suite of products.

This application is responsible for communicating and controlling the I/O of all the street hardware and also virtual I/O with the other various applications running on the Traffic Controller.

The application regularly poles the installed interface cards to retrieve the latest states of connected hardware, which could include: traffic detection loops, pedestrian crossing buttons, maintenance panel interface and lamp monitoring signals.
